Construct, Maintain A Safe Efficient Highway System
The Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and drainage of all Town Highways. The Superintendent’s jurisdiction includes approximately 65 miles of roads (41 paved, 24 dirt).
The Highway Department maintains and repairs:
- Roadways
- Roadway drainage systems
- Sidewalks
- Street signage
- Town bridges
- Various park areas throughout the Town
- Roadway snow and ice control
- Leaf collection in the Fall
