Our Cemeteries, Buildings, & Grounds Crew has identified numerous grave sites containing items that are not permitted under the Town's Cemetery Rules and Regulations, including flowers planted in the ground, mulch, and glass items.

All prohibited items must be removed by July 1, 2026. Any prohibited items remaining after this date will be removed and disposed of by the Cemeteries, Buildings, & Grounds Crew.

• Please remember the following cemetery decoration rules and regulations:
• All decorations must be placed within 18 inches of the front of the monument.
• Flowers planted in the ground, mulch, shrubbery, copings, fences, and curbs are prohibited.
• Glass jars, bottles, and other glass containers are prohibited.
• Summer decorations are permitted April 1 – October 31.
• Winter decorations are permitted November 1 – March 31 and must be placed on the side or top of monuments.
• Moveable benches must be removed by the end of October.
• The Superintendent may remove decorations, flowers, benches, or other items that become unsightly or do not comply with cemetery regulations.
