On June 15, 2009 Governor Lynch signed into law RSA 4:9 establishing a committee to oversee the design, construction and maintenance of a memorial to Public Works Employees who have died in the course of performing public works duties on behalf of a municipality, a county or the state. This bipartisan legislation was sponsored by Republicans and Democrats alike and took effect on August 14. Read a copy of the Legislation. The committee will remain in existence upon the completion of the memorial for the purpose of overseeing maintenance and approving any changes to the memorial such as the addition of names or site changes.
